Kingdom Animal Shelter, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501[c] 3 organization incorporated in 2003. Our goal has been to build a shelter in the St. Johnsbury-area. We are a proud member of the Vermont Humane Federation, Northeast Kingdom Chamber of Commerce, Humane Society of the United States and American Humane Association.
On November 1, 2009 we opened a cat shelter/adoption center called "Kingdom Kats". All of our cats see a veterinarian shortly after their arrival, and are examined along with being vaccinated and spayed/neutered before going to their new homes.

Burke Mountain Clubhouse & Community Library
Completed in 1920, the Burke Mountain Club House in the center of East Burke village, the building serves as a community center and houses the East Burke Community Library. Burke Senior Meal Site
We provide nutritious meals to seniors at the Community Center next to the Burke Town Clerk Office and homebound meals to nearby residents, we are also open to the public and provide various activities. We ask for a donation of 3.00 per meal, but no one is turned away based on their inability to donate. Lunch is served Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at noon, reservations are requested.
