Oberon is a barred owl that resides in a mew (cage for a bird of prey) at NorthWoods Stewardship Center in East Charleston, Vermont. Oberon was hit by a car on Interstate 89, and was rehabilitated at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science. Now, unable to survive in the wild on his own, he serves as an ambassador for birds of prey. During this presentation, learn about the unique adaptations of owls that make their home in Vermont, and meet Oberon. After the presentation enjoy cookies and cocoa by the campfire while enjoying the story of Owl Moon by Jane Yolen. Engaging for the whole family starts at 7:00pm in the Governor's Conference Room in the Burke Mountain Hotel.
Location: Burke Mountain Hotel & Conference Center, East Burke, VT
