Join us on the green at the Burke Mountain Clubhouse/Community Library for a FREE family friendly, outdoor film showing! The movie will start between 8:30 - 9 pm (as soon as it's dark enough to see the screen!), but at 7:30 pm Northwoods Stewardship Center will be stopping by with Oberon, their resident Barred Owl. NorthWoods has been Oberon’s home since 2005, when he was hit by a car on I-91 and blinded in one eye. Now he serves as an educational ambassador for his wise, often silent and rarely-seen species. NorthWoods staff will be on the green with Oberon to do an interactive presentation that will provide a glimpse into the unique adaptations, habitat, and habits of the owls of Vermont.
Tonight's movie is "ET: The Extra-Terrestrial" Rated PG. This classic movie directed by Steven Spielberg tells the story of a meek and alienated little boy who finds a stranded extraterrestrial. He has to find the courage to defy the authorities to help the alien return to its home planet.
