Cost: $15. What better way to celebrate the first day of winter than to go for a snowshoe hike? We will hike the Moose Mountain Trail from the east to the west, just under four miles total. This is a beautiful trail through hardwood forest and rolling, not-too-steep terrain. The peak of Moose Mountain is 2,339 feet, and enroute we will come across scenic vistas overlooking the northern range of the Green Mountains, Lake Willoughby, and Wheeler pond. Meet at Willoughby Lake’s north end beach parking lot for shuttle. Bring a picnic lunch, a hot drink, and warm layers. Registration required. Snowshoes available.
