WinterBike!

This year, we will host both a Fat Bike Summit and Winterbike 2016 in the same weekend!!! You may sign up for each separately, but we highly recommend attending both for maximum enjoyment.

Friday March 4th, Kingdom Trails will host the Northeast Regional Fatbike Summit sponsored by QBP (Quality Bicycle Products) . Rather than one Global Fat Bike Summit as in the past, QBP will host five regional summits next year. The summits are meetings to discuss trail access and other issues affecting the growing activity of bike riding on snow. QBP has hosted four previous annual Global events. Registration will open in January. Thanks to our friends at New England Mountain Bike Association (NEMBA) for helping us make this arrangement.

On March 5, 2016, we celebrate the burgeoning fatbike culture by hosting an event and demo day. Group rides, vendors, bon fire, fun games, races and beverages.

Kingdom Trails and MTBVT are scheming for some of the best Winterbike shenanigans yet!!!

Technically, Winterbike is still a 1 day event on Saturday- but we have added a couple of extra activities around that one day of fatbike debuachery.

Basic Registration for the event, gives you access to the Kingdom Trails network and all Winterbike activities on Saturday meaning group rides, fatbike demos, food and beverages, music, fire, sugar on snow, games, race spectation, and swag!

On Friday night, Kingdom Trails will host a social at the Publick House in East
Burke Village. Come between 6:00 and 8:00pm for early registration and pre-gaming! Yup, skip the Saturday morning lineup and head straight into the event! If you plan to have dinner, reservations are strongly recommended, although there are some seats at the bar. The Publick House is popular, so think ahead.

Demo Fatbikes will be available from the Vendors in the Expo area for 45 minute rides throughout the day on a first come first served basis. Demo loops will be signed.

The Remote Aid Station on the trails hosted by MTBVT is making a comeback with the usual local delights and personalities. And later in the day we have some new games before and after the 6X race to add a wee bit more competition and ridiculousness to the day.

On Sunday morning there will be some “disorganised” group rides. Also dubbed “recovery” rides, join us if you are one of those people that just can’t get enough fatbiking.

Romeo & Juliet Bolshoi Ballet

Tickets: $18 Adults, $15 Members, $6 Students

Running time: 140 minutes

Music: Sergei Prokofiev
Libretto Sergei Prokofiev, Sergei Radlov and Adrian Piotrovsky
Choreography Yuri Grigorovich

Cast: Alexander Volchkov (Romeo), Anna Nikulina (Juliet)

In Verona, the rivalry between the Capulets and the Montagues brings bloodshed to the city. When the Capulets organise a masked ball in honour of their daughter Juliet, Romeo Montague and his friend Mercutio attend incognito because of the hatred that tears the two houses apart. Romeo and Juliet fall madly in love, and are distraught when they realise they belong to rival families.

William Shakespeare’s timeless story, written in 1595, is brought to the stage through breathtaking choreography and Sergei Prokofiev’s much-loved score. With its famous melodies, rhythmic variety and universal theme, this story of impossible love remains an all-time favourite, and is one of the world’s most popular ballets.

Stellar performances by Alexander Volchkov and Anna Nikulina illuminate this masterpiece, making the immortal tale of the lovers of Verona an unforgettable experience.
