A Magical Evening of Comedy and Tricks!
7:00 PM

Opening Act – the Music Styling of The Endorsements!

Main Act – The Comedy and Magic of National Known Performer, Glenn Strange.
A Family Friendly evening – not to be missed.

Tickets: $20, $15, $10

Yes, "Strange" is his name ... his real name. Once upon a time, many years ago, in a nearby county, Glenn found a magic shop. Forty eight hours later, he had business cards, and was dangerous. He had discovered a tool (magic) that had given him a reason to be funny in public. Up until that time he had only been funny for friends, family, and coworkers, behind closed doors. He started out by performing for kid’s birthday parties .... or anyone else that would stand still for two or more minutes. Today, Glenn’s funny business specializes in providing quality entertaining and meaningful programs for corporations, churches, and associations all over the United States.

Glenn Strange is MUCH MORE than a magician. His programs contain comedy, magic, recorded music, humorous stories, and just the right amount of audience interaction. Glenn’s clients are amazed as how he transforms his audiences from high energy hilarious laughter to being attentive and receptive to a sincere uplifting message. Glenn’s worked years developing and honing his one-of-a-kind style that’s Guaranteed to generate huge laughs and never embarrass or make fun of anyone.

People love experiencing real time situation comedy routines. They eagerly volunteer to be treated like the stars of the program, and their unrehearsed spontaneous comments and actions determine the comedy avenue Glenn takes them down. Every program is different, because each program is unique to the audience. Glenn makes sure each attendee has a great fun time laughing, forgets their everyday problems, and returns home with fun memories. Unlike a standard magic show, that ends with a, “Wow, how did-he-do-that?”, Glenn’s programs are built around a purpose, and close with a heartfelt inspiring meaningful message, that touches peoples emotions, and makes a difference in their personal and professional lives.

Proceeds to Benefit the St. Johnsbury Academy Future Business Leaders of America Club.

Gang of Thieves is stealing back the spirit of American rock n roll!

These legendary Vermont Rockers bring the funky fury of the Northeast with them wherever they go. A national touring act, Gang of Thieves is coming to you live in support of their NEW ALBUM: THUNDERFUNK, recorded in Berkeley, CA with Grammy Award winning engineer Michael Rosen (Santana, Rancid, Less than Jake). The Gang was also recently nominated for "Rock Act of the Year" by the 2013 New England Music Awards, and Best Funk Group by 7 Days “Seven Daysies” contest.

"Gang of Thieves, you've really done it this time. Soaring guitars, early 90s grunge style vocals, Flea level basslines, and a mix of funk and rock to make a party a rager... you [gave] us Thunderfunk and it's just another damn level."

-John Powell, www.angelica-music.com

Gang of Thieves' sound and energy is a cross between Led Zeppelin and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with a funky blast of Green Mountain soul thrown in the mix. With a live show that will leave you screaming and exhausted from your nose to your rump, these up and coming rock stars will leave you begging for more!

Now having performed all across the United States, the Gang has shared the stage with acts such as Skid Row, Lucid, Sophistafunk and Twiddle, wowing audiences of all ages. From the legendary Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, CA to the Middle East in Boston, MA, Gang of Thieves has stolen hearts across the nation and continues to skyrocket on the radar as one of the nations' premier rock and roll experiences.

Tickets: Adults - $49, $39, $29, $18 and Gold Circle - $59; Seniors - $46, $36, $26, $15 and Gold Circle $56. Students - $20

“The real thing.” – Washington Post

The immensely popular Giselle is a romantic ballet in two acts, first performed in 1841 and an immediate favorite with both audiences and critics. Dancers who have performed in Giselle constitute a “who’s who” of ballet: Nijinsky, Nureyev, Baryshnikov, Makarova, and many others.“This ballet about betrayal, physical fragility and spiritual strength cuts close to the bone. Giselle is a French ballet. In a very French way, the catastrophe that the first act builds up to is not a violent uprising or a calamity caused by evil magic, but rather the quiet revelation of a rupture of trust. Intimacy is shattered — not a kingdom, not heroic destiny, just the tenderness between two people.”

“This occurs when the peasant girl of the title, who is charming and pretty but frail, discovers that the man she loves has lied to her about his identity and his availability. Giselle succumbs to the shock. Yet in the second act we find out that’s not quite the end of her. Her fleshly heart may have stopped, but its ennobling humanity carries on, and Albrecht, her remorseful suitor, finds an unsettling but ultimately liberating redemption at her grave. In its choreography and style of dancing, this Romantic-era ballet is soft and simple. But there are plenty of dramatic opportunities, though the way to achieve them is through subtlety and extreme sensitivity.” – Washington Post

Ivan the Terrible
1:00 PM

Tickets: $18 Adults, $15 Members, $6 Students

As young Ivan IV is crowned, he has to choose one of the 13 Boyar daughters to be his wife and tsarina. He selects Anastasia, and the two eventually fall deeply in love. When the Boyar's plot against him and poison his beloved wife, Tsar Ivan finds himself surrounded by enemies. Haunted by dark thoughts and phantoms, he slowly sinks into madness. Drawing on the music composed by Prokofiev for the 1944 Eisenstein film, Ivan the Terrible is a work in the true Bolshoi style. Yuri Grigorovich's powerful and fascinating epic dramatizes Ivan the Terrible's controversial reign, and portrays events in 16th-century Russia in visually stunning scenes. His choreography, full of vigor, strength and wild jumps, also includes great grace and fragility in the female roles. Sensitive classical and powerful character dance blend to create a lyrical epic, rich in the colors of medieval Russia. Recently revived, Ivan the Terrible is an essential part of the company's repertoire, a 20th-century classic and a wonderful theatrical experience.
