BURKE AREA EVENTS

Vermont Youth Garden Project farmstand open!
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM





Vermont Youth Garden Project is pleased to offer a farmstand this summer. The farmstand will take place at the Inn at Mountain View Farm at the top of East Darling Hill Road in East Burke. We will run the stand on the same day as our CSA pick-up--Wednesdays from 4:30--6:30. The stand will be in the clock barn next to the animal sanctuary. Our first day is June 27th. We also have FARMDOLLARS this year! Farmdollars allow you to invest in our farm for a smaller amount than the CSA, but still receive a 10% discount on farmstand prices. Farmdollars in the amount of $100 will be sold (and can be redeemed) throughout the season. Hope to see you there!

25th Annual Burke Fall Foliage Festival

Huge craft show, parade, kids games, wagon rides, beer tent, live music and much more!  Join us for the 25th anniversary of our Fall Festival! 

Musical performers for the festival include the Crunchy Western Boys and Chickweed featuring Linda Warnaar!  Special appearance by Miss Vermont 2012 and a live raptor show from VINS (VT Institute of Natural Science)!

Lyndon Adventure Race

Welcome to the first soon-to-be annual Lyndon Adventure Race. Developed to showcase the many and divers adventuring opportunities that the Northeast Kingdom has to offer, it is a race through some amazing terrain guaranteed to not only be exciting in action, but in scope as well! Do you know a couple of people who love to ride bikes? Run occasionally? Paddle a canoe? Then you have a team! The race will consist of a road biking section, Mountain biking section, canoeing section and a run for the finish line! Proceeds will be going to Lyndon State Adventure Program and their growing development of area involvement with low and high course events, outdoor climbing opportunities, group development and many other adventuring opportunities for children and adults alike! Come on up the hill, have a great time with other adventurers, make an impact on a great local program and enjoy an amazing day in our sweet spot!
