Levitt AMP St. Johnsbury Music Series
4:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Double Bill: Barika & Daby Touré

Barika
Barika is a 6 piece funky, dubbed out, psychedelic West African flavored band from Burlington, Vermont. The group is led by Craig Myers who, in addition to leading Barika on the N'Goni, is also a current member of Mike Gordon's band, and was one of the original founding members of Rubblebucket. He has performed alongside many artists and bands including Midnight, Toubab Krewe, Djeneba Seck, and John Brown's Body.

Daby Touré
Born in Mauritania, and raised in Senegal, Daby Touré lived for more than a quarter century in Paris before moving recently to Montreal. While his father and uncles formed the pioneering Afropop band Toure Kunda, Touré has always followed his own musical path, with influences ranging from African folk melodies and desert blues, to jazz, pop, reggae, funk and soul. Blessed with an open mind and an explorer's spirit, Touré's catchy songs are as likely to appeal to fans of African stars Habib Koité and Youssou N'Dour as they are to followers of Bob Marley, Paul Simon and Stevie Wonder.

The Levitt AMP St. Johnsbury Music Series will return for the third year to Dog Mountain, a breathtaking 150-acre, dog-friendly destination in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom Rural Enterprise Assistance Project Zone. Through vibrant and diverse arts programming, the 2019 series will continue to re-animate this former industrial area and bring together “St. Jay” residents of all walks of life to support the growth of a sustainable, year-round local creative economy.

Presented by Catamount Arts, a nonprofit full-service arts center dedicated to promoting the arts throughout northern Vermont and New Hampshire, encouraging appreciation, participation and cultivation of the arts as an integral part of community life, in partnership with Friends of Dog Mountain, Town of St. Johnsbury/St. Johnsbury Police Department, St. Johnsbury Chamber of Commerce, KCP Presents and Northern Vermont University - Lyndon.

24 Hours of the Northeast Kingdom

24 Hours of the Northeast Kingdom is a true test of endurance in an incredibly scenic place. The race will take place in the forest and hills of East Charleston, Vermont, at the Northwoods Stewardship Center. It is a unique, rugged, and beautiful setting, located near the border of one of the last wilderness tracts in New England. We couldn’t be more excited for Northwoods to be the host of this race. We feel it embodies the spirit of reverence for the land which so many runners deeply connect with.

KT Challenge - 100k, 50k & 25k

Have you ever wanted to hop on your bike in the morning and ride all day on some of the best and most beautiful trails in North America? What if we upped the ante and added in food stations with delicious, local food and beverages, pre-ride coffee and pastries, apres-ride beverages and an amazing meal, as well as ample maple fuel? Well this is the event for you! We are so excited to offer the 3rd annual KT 50/100K. The past two years, hearty groups of riders departed on a 62 mile trail ride (or 50k alternative) which was 99% single-track, finishing at the iconic Heavens Bench for delicious and well earned food and post ride libations. This year we have added a 25K (15 mile) option for those who want to have a stepping block to the 100K/50K or who just want to spend the day on some of the best trails in the world. This is a guided ride and is not a competition; this is a good times trails ride and a great excuse to go out and enjoy most of the single-track that Kingdom Trails has to offer!

NEW FOR 2019***GUIDED AND SELF-GUIDED OPTION! In years prior, this has been a guided ride, but moving forward we want to empower the soloist more. This will give riders an additional challenge of following the route or if anyone wants to race this route, they can do that as well. A complete GPS file will be sent to those wanting to complete the self-guided portion.

**FAST FACTS**
– Most abilities welcome from Intermediate to Intermediate/Advanced riders
– Great for most ages (18+)
– Perfect for you IF: You get on you love riding your bike a lot and are looking for a challenge!

Includes:
– Kingdom Trails Pass (1)
– Morning pastries and Coffee
– Aid station food/beverages
– Lunch
– Apres drink voucher (1) and food
