Burke Hollow Farmhouse contains all of the amenities guests expect in a home away from home. From open-concept spaces to cozy nooks, the farmhouse fuses a traditional Vermont feel with modern appointments. The connected kitchen, dining area, and living room create a social atmosphere. The sunroom can serve as a kids' away room, its French doors blocking noise but allowing supervision. The sunrise greets the largest bedroom and living room, and the sunset floods the screened porch. Large lawns invite guests for lawn games. The outdoor patio is the perfect setting for a cookout, providing both sun and, if needed, afternoon shade. Plenty of secure bike and ski storage can be found in the adjacent red saltbox garage. If something is missing from your experience, simply let us know; our home is 500 feet away.
Life on our Burke Hollow land is truly special. Five acres of fields, woods, and barns are yours to explore. Roundy Brook, which runs through the property, contains opportunities for brook trout fishing, wading, and taking a refreshing dip. Brook Road is a destination for gravel road cyclists. Cross-country ski touring, snowshoeing, sledding, and challenging fatbiking are just steps away in The Hollow. A VAST snowmobile trail is less than a quarter mile away. Even a simple walk through the village of Burke Hollow is full of beautiful views, friendly waves, and traditional Vermont architecture.
Burke Hollow Farmhouse is located on a dirt road, but the pavement ends fewer than 500 feet away. The Northeast Kingdom is renowned for its abundant snow, so we recommend all-wheel drive and/or snow tires in winter.
