BURKE AREA EVENTS

Summertime concerts in the park, NEMBAFest Mountain Bike Festival, The Annual Burke Fall Festival, WinterBike.... events of all sorts happen in and around Burke.  Moonlit snowshoe treks, live music performances, seasonal parades, craft fairs, Open Studios weekend, snowmobile drag races...it's all here!   To keep up to date on local happenings and special deals, sign up for the monthly Burke enewsletter.

 

From October - March, enjoy ice skating at Chester Arena - check their website for Public Skate times and other events.

 

The Catamount Arts Center in St. Johnsbury also features a range of events every week including independent film showings, classic films, theater, opera performances, live music as well as classes and workshops for all ages.  Check out their Events Calendar to see what's going on.

Strawberry Festival

June 25, 2021  |   4:00 PM - 7:00 PM





 Dinner, dessert, music and dancing! Stop on by the park for pizza, BBQ and your annual shortcake fix! There will also be live music from Tritium Well!

 The Runaway Tomato food truck will be at the park with slices, whole pies and calzones. Very Large Slices are $4 -$5.


Smokin' Something BBQ will also be there.

BBQ MENU:

Strawberry bbq glazed baby back ribs with a side-$20

3 Pulled pork or chicken tacos, With fresh corn and blackbean salsa, melted Mexican blend cheese, bbq sauce, and sour cream $13

Pulled pork sandwich topped with coleslaw and bbq sauce and choice of side-$13

Keilbasa sandwich with horse radish mayo, sauerkraut, and picked onions and choice of side. $13

Red snapper hot dog with ketchup, mustard, relish, and white onion. $3 or 2 for $5

Sides cole slaw, potato salad, or chips.


The Burke Chamber will be selling homemade Strawberry Shortcake

Shortcake is $5 per serving with proceeds to benefit the Burke Area Chamber of Commerce.
 

Dolcetti strawberry gelato will be for sale by the pint with all proceeds to benefit Umbrella.  Learn more at www.umbrellanek.org/dolcetti

 

For soft serve ice cream cones, stop by Aldrich's Store across from the park. All profits from ice cream sales from 4-7pm will benefit the West Burke Fire Department!

 

Folks from Kingdom Trails will also be at the event with maps, trail info and pedal powered smoothies!


One Burke will also be there with info and updates on current projects.

 

PARKING:  Please park at the Town Offices Lot on School Street in West Burke or the lot at the West Burke Methodist Church on Church Street (please do not park in Parsonage area).

 

 This event is hosted by the Burke Area Chamber of Commerce with assistance from Cafe Lotti, Vermont Specialty Coffee Roasters, Wagner's Construction, Aldrich's General Store, Community National Bank, the Town of Burke, the West Burke Universalist Society, West Burke Library, West Burke Methodist Church and other local businesses.
