BURKE AREA EVENTS

Community Fireworks Display
7:30 PM - 10:00 PM





  The show will go on with all of us together, but a part.

This years fireworks display will take place at the Sherburne Base Lodge and will be free to attend thanks to the collaboration of the Town of Burke, Kingdom Trails, and Burke Mountain.

Think Drive-In Movie Style.

Cars will be parked according to the Be Smart, Stay Safe Vermont initiatives at that time. Although remaining in your car is highly recommended, lawn chairs and blankets will be allowed to be setup at your vehicle.

Grills nor tailgating of any kind will be allowed. Please plan to arrive to watch the fireworks display and depart to enjoy the rest of the evening safely at your home.

Lyndon Farmers' Market

The Lyndon Farmers’ Market has been operating for nearly ten years, and has grown to provide one of the most enjoyable farmers market experiences in the Northeast Kingdom. Over 15 vendors meet every Friday afternoon at beautiful Bandstand Park from May through October. We sell locally grown and made Vermont products, including fresh vegetables and fruits, quality meats, eggs, artisan breads, baked goods, ethnic foods, herbs, plants, flowers, arts and crafts, and maple syrup. Bandstand Park is filled with large shade trees, a fountain, and plenty of room for kids to run and play while parents stroll from tasty cinnamon buns to crisp lettuce and brightly colored carrots. We offer live music every week performed by local musicians. Come and visit us as soon and as often as you can!

Small group training is a group of 3 to 9 individuals who all have the same relative goals. The group members all follow the same training program. The programs consist of cardiovascular, strength, and metabolic conditioning. The program is not individualized as compared to personal training, semi-private, or buddy training. This is the more cost-effective option for individuals who are looking for a structured exercise program without the cost of personal training. Training times are at the individual and trainer’s discretion.

Cats & Roses - Yard Sale

 Good news! We are now holding Cats & Roses, along with the yard sale, on Saturday, July 4th from 9 AM - 2 PM at 206 Cliff Street in St. Johnsbury, VT. Tour Rod Lauman's rose garden, where the roses will be in full bloom! We will also have a yard sale, baked goods, a 50/50 raffle, and KAS hats and t-shirts for sale.


Please wear a mask to protect yourself and others.
We will be taking donations for our upcoming yard sale on Thursday, July 2nd and Friday, July 3rd. However, we do not accept skis, clothing, or old electronics (as they don't sell well). If you have items you'd like to donate, you can drop them off on July 2nd or 3rd at 206 Cliff St in St Johnsbury. Please leave the donations on either the front porch or the side porch (taking care to not block the entrance doors). We hope to see you at the Cats & Roses event!

SOLO Wilderness First Aid & CPR





Kingdom Adventures Mountain Guides is proud to serve as the sponsor and instructional provider of SOLO wilderness medicine courses in Northern Vermont.  The two-day Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course is SOLO's most popular creating a solid foundation in the basics of backcountry medical care. Initially offered in 1975, this course was the first of its kind in the United States, and it is the curriculum upon which all other backcountry medicine courses are based. SOLO CPR certification is included as a part of all WFA courses. This is a great course for mountain bikers, hikers, climbers, backpackers, backcountry skiers and other outdoor enthusiasts who venture out for day and weekend trips. Only current SOLO WFR graduates may use the SOLO WFA to recertify a current WFR certification.

Drive In to Stay Safe Movie/Concert Series!





 Catamount Arts and Northern Vermont University are partnering to bring a Drive-In to Stay Safe movie and concert series to our campuses.

 

Beginning July 11 and continuing every Saturday on the (Johnson campus) and Sunday (Lyndon campus) through August, the Drive-in to Stay Safe series will alternate between evening concerts and family friendly movies outside under the stars. The series will take place in the Visual Arts Center (Johnson) and Vail (Lyndon) parking lots with appropriately distanced cars. All guests will need to stay in or on their vehicles.

 

Concert time: 7 pm
Movie time: Parking opens 30 minutes before sunset
Tickets: $20 per car; all tickets pre-purchased with no drop-in traffic

Lyndon Farmers' Market

Drive In to Stay Safe Movie/Concert Series!





 Catamount Arts and Northern Vermont University are partnering to bring a Drive-In to Stay Safe movie and concert series to our campuses.

 

Beginning July 11 and continuing every Saturday on the (Johnson campus) and Sunday (Lyndon campus) through August, the Drive-in to Stay Safe series will alternate between evening concerts and family friendly movies outside under the stars. The series will take place in the Visual Arts Center (Johnson) and Vail (Lyndon) parking lots with appropriately distanced cars. All guests will need to stay in or on their vehicles.

Performance Bootcamps

Bootcamp is an 8-week, large group training of about 14 individuals who all have the same relative goals. The programs are not individualized, but consist of intense and challenging cardiovascular, strength, metabolic, and mobility/flexibility training to help improve overall health and increase performance in everyday life. Bootcamp meets Monday/Wednesday/Friday at 6pm

Womens Small Group Training
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM





Small group training is a group of 3 to 9 individuals who all have the same relative goals. The group members all follow the same training program. The programs consist of cardiovascular, strength, and metabolic conditioning. The program is not individualized as compared to personal training, semi-private, or buddy training. This is the more cost-effective option for individuals who are looking for a structured exercise program without the cost of personal training. Training times are at the individual and trainer’s discretion.

Lyndon Farmers' Market

The Lyndon Farmers’ Market has been operating for nearly ten years, and has grown to provide one of the most enjoyable farmers market experiences in the Northeast Kingdom. Over 15 vendors meet every Friday afternoon at beautiful Bandstand Park from May through October. We sell locally grown and made Vermont products, including fresh vegetables and fruits, quality meats, eggs, artisan breads, baked goods, ethnic foods, herbs, plants, flowers, arts and crafts, and maple syrup. Bandstand Park is filled with large shade trees, a fountain, and plenty of room for kids to run and play while parents stroll from tasty cinnamon buns to crisp lettuce and brightly colored carrots. We offer live music every week performed by local musicians. Come and visit us as soon and as often as you can!
