Open House & HBOT Info Night
3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Vermont Pain Relief Physical Therapy & Massage has expanded its East Burke health and recovery center, now offering Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)—one of the most advanced healing tools available today. This marks a major addition to health and wellness options in the NEK.

Open House & HBOT Info Night
To introduce the community to the new services, Vermont Pain Relief will host a Community Open House and HBOT Information Event on Thursday November 6 from 3pm to 7pm at 83 Kirby Road, East Burke. Attendees can:
-Tour the facility and HBOT chamber
-Try red light therapy and recovery tools including sauna & cold plunge (bring your own towel!)
-Meet Dr. Duniho and the wellness team
-Learn who HBOT can help and how to get started

Vermont Pain Relief Physical Therapy and Massage's recent expansion includes:

-Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatment, in affiliation with Hyperbaric Vermont
-An expanded physical therapy and performance training gym
-An outdoor recovery lounge featuring sauna & cold plunge overlooking a mountain brook
-Red light therapy
-Membership-based wellness access

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a medical technology that increases oxygen supply to tissues in the body, accelerating repair, reducing inflammation, and stimulating the body's natural healing process. HBOT requires a prescription, which Vermont Pain Relief helps patients obtain through partnering medical providers.

Research supports the use of HBOT for:
Concussion, depression and traumatic brain injury recovery
Long COVID, chronic fatigue, and brain fog
Lyme disease and chronic inflammation
Sports injuries and post-surgical recovery
Peripheral neuropathy and nerve injuries
Soft tissue injuries and non-healing wounds
Stroke recovery support
Arthritis and chronic pain conditions

"Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a game-changer," says clinic owner Dr. Kevin Duniho, DPT. "For years, patients had to travel hours away to access this level of healing technology."

Clements Brothers
7:00 PM

Admission: $15 advance sale, $20 at the door, students under 18 are free
Prices include sales tax but not any applicable fees.

The Clements Brothers are George (guitar) and Charles (upright bass), identical twins from the heart of New England. The two have been playing and writing music together for as long as they can remember, first entering the Americana music scene in 2012 as part of the internationally touring grass-roots band, ‘The Lonely Heartstring Band,’ with whom they put out two albums on Rounder Records. Most recently, George could be found playing the role of Paul Simon in the hit national act ‘The Simon and Garfunkel Story’ while Charles could often be found on stage with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Now, ‘The Clements Brothers’ marks their first original project together, focused on capturing their singer-songwriter sensibilities in a unique blend, with harmonies only achievable by their identical voices, at once enthralling and intimate, groovy and serene.

2050: Vermonters Take a Swipe at the Future Book Launch at the Athenaeum
5:00 PM

Join us in the Art Gallery at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum for the celebratory book launch of 2050: Vermonters Take a Swipe at the Future, essays collected by Bill Mares, edited by Jane Smith, illustrated by Don Hooper, and published by Rootstock Publishing. This collection of humorous, serious, and dystopian essays and stories features contributions from thirty-seven Vermonters. Reading from their essays at the Athenaeum will be Mark Breen, Jane Kitchel, Scudder Parker, Eric Duncan, Brett Stanciu, Ben Doyle. Green Mountain Books will be selling copies and essay authors will be signing. A reception with refreshments will follow the reading. The event is free, ADA accessible, and open to the public.

What will Vermont be like in 25 years? Vermonters – from teachers to maple syrup producers, meteorologists to former legislators —take a half-serious, half-humorous approach to imagining life in Vermont in twenty-five years. Some are gloriously optimistic; some are disturbingly dark. What shines through is the writers’ love for Vermont. The state is full of idealistic people with great ideas, and one of the best features of our little state is that aspirations can often become reality. Read closely as even the funny submissions put forth some serious predictions – and solutions – to the challenges Vermont is facing. 2050: Vermonters Take a Swipe at the Future is the final literary project of Bill Mares, who died in 2024.

“As this marvelous book makes clear…that sense of underlying community will bring us through.”

—Bill McKibben, author and climate activist
