Lyndon Farmers' Market

The Lyndon Farmers’ Market has been operating for nearly ten years, and has grown to provide one of the most enjoyable farmers market experiences in the Northeast Kingdom. Over 15 vendors meet every Friday afternoon at beautiful Bandstand Park from May through October. We sell locally grown and made Vermont products, including fresh vegetables and fruits, quality meats, eggs, artisan breads, baked goods, ethnic foods, herbs, plants, flowers, arts and crafts, and maple syrup. Bandstand Park is filled with large shade trees, a fountain, and plenty of room for kids to run and play while parents stroll from tasty cinnamon buns to crisp lettuce and brightly colored carrots. We offer live music every week performed by local musicians. Come and visit us as soon and as often as you can!

Join your neighbors for a safe, downtown experience on September 12th and 26th featuring Vermont musicians and performers, food trucks, gravel rides, shopping, and the grand opening of the Three Rivers Trailhead Center! Performers will be safely spread out downtown to encourage outdoor walking and sidewalk shopping. Masks are required. Agency of Human Services and United Way will help promote event safety by distributing masks and hand sanitizer to those who need them.

 

#getdowntown on your bike! St. Johnsbury Recreation and NEK Gravel have organized "No drop" gravel rides on both 9/12 & 9/26. All are welcome! These are not a races. Rides will depart at 11:15am from Three Rivers Trailhead Center at 195 Bay St. 13.4 miles; 1271 feet of climbing; epic views!

Bluff Mountain hike guided by Northwoods

 Join Shelly and Julie for a guided hike. Bluff Mountain sits at the edge of Island Pond overlooking the lake. The trail starts in a pine plantation and winds its way up Bluff through hardwood dominated forest. Wyatt, our guide, will share his knowledge of the great outdoors with us on our 3.2 mile round trip hike. Bring a bag lunch, water, sunscreen, bug spray and a hat. The cost for this hike is $20. The Lyndon Farmers’ Market has been operating for nearly ten years, and has grown to provide one of the most enjoyable farmers market experiences in the Northeast Kingdom. Over 15 vendors meet every Friday afternoon at beautiful Bandstand Park from May through October. We sell locally grown and made Vermont products, including fresh vegetables and fruits, quality meats, eggs, artisan breads, baked goods, ethnic foods, herbs, plants, flowers, arts and crafts, and maple syrup. Bandstand Park is filled with large shade trees, a fountain, and plenty of room for kids to run and play while parents stroll from tasty cinnamon buns to crisp lettuce and brightly colored carrots. Pig Roast & Community Gathering!
4:00 PM - 7:00 PM





  Hosted by Burke Area Chamber of Commerce and One Burke.

 Join us in the park for dinner, free smoothies and get updates on projects from One Burke and Kingdom Trails. Libbey's Meat Market will be on site with the smoker for the pig roast! Dinner includes 8 ounces of pulled pork on a bun with coleslaw, cornbread and some Death by Chocolate for dessert (cost $12 per person).

The Burke Area Chamber of Commerce will be giving out free smoothies with help from students and staff of the East Burke School.

The West Burke Library/Universalist Society will have a bake sale with part of the proceeds going to a local food shelf.

Folks from One Burke will be there to share updates from the Trails & Transportation and Village Revitalization task forces. Info stations will be set up to get community input and ideas for the West Burke Revitalization project.
Kingdom Trails will also be at the event with updates on the Network Capacity Feasibility Study,

Food will be served in to go containers. Limited seating will be available in the park. Please be sure to wear a mask and practice social distancing in the park.

SOLO Wilderness First Aid & CPR





Kingdom Adventures Mountain Guides is proud to serve as the sponsor and instructional provider of SOLO wilderness medicine courses in Northern Vermont.  The two-day Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course is SOLO's most popular creating a solid foundation in the basics of backcountry medical care. Initially offered in 1975, this course was the first of its kind in the United States, and it is the curriculum upon which all other backcountry medicine courses are based. SOLO CPR certification is included as a part of all WFA courses. This is a great course for mountain bikers, hikers, climbers, backpackers, backcountry skiers and other outdoor enthusiasts who venture out for day and weekend trips. Only current SOLO WFR graduates may use the SOLO WFA to recertify a current WFR certification.

Canine Fitness Day!

We are excited to announce that we are teaming up with Mandy Imburgio from Proper Pups and Jocelyn Meilleur from APEX Vermont Dog Training to bring you the first ever Fitness Day hosted here at OTBT on Saturday September 26th! Mandy will be doing a Weight Pulling demonstration from 9am-12pm and Jocelyn will be teaching Disc Games from 1pm-4pm. This workshop is designed to not only teach you new ways to drain your dog's mental and physical energy, but also how to keep your your dog in good physical shape and maintain their muscle strength. Whether you have a young pup or an older dog, this workshop is the place to be!

Join your neighbors for a safe, downtown experience on September 12th and 26th featuring Vermont musicians and performers, food trucks, gravel rides, shopping, and the grand opening of the Three Rivers Trailhead Center! Performers will be safely spread out downtown to encourage outdoor walking and sidewalk shopping. Masks are required. Agency of Human Services and United Way will help promote event safety by distributing masks and hand sanitizer to those who need them.

 

#getdowntown on your bike! St. Johnsbury Recreation and NEK Gravel have organized "No drop" gravel rides on both 9/12 & 9/26. All are welcome! These are not a races. Rides will depart at 11:15am from Three Rivers Trailhead Center at 195 Bay St. 13.4 miles; 1271 feet of climbing; epic views!
