WEATHERIZATION FOR ALL: NEK is Buttoning Up

October 15, 2022

Join NVDA, Energy Committees and Energy Partners from across the NEK for this FREE, FUN & ENERGIZING event! Explore the Old Stone House Museum & Historic Village and explore smart + affordable energy strategies for EVERYONE.

There will be local, seasonal refreshments, door prizes and raffles, + fun, supervised activities for kids. The event is FREE and family-friendly. Please help us order the right amount of food by registering in advance. After the main event, all guests are invited to a complimentary tour of the museum starting at 12pm, or can explore the historic village grounds on their own (self-guided tour materials available free of charge).

Hear from energy experts about the many ways to stay warm and healthy this winter and how to make energy efficiency upgrades affordable for everyone. Reps from HEAT Squad, NETO, NEKCA, USDA Rural Development, Efficiency Vermont, VPPSA, RuralEdge and more will be there with info on incentives, rebates, grants, and programs for homeowners, renters, and landlords, alike. This is your opportunity to ask questions: I go from paycheck to paycheck; how can I afford to weatherize? Is it worth the time to do this? Are there projects I can do myself? I’m a landlord, are there programs to help me? Where do I start?
