His 65 year career began in the 60s with the Boston folk club scene and his time as a director of the Newport Folk Festival. In the 70s Jim was manager of Albert Grossman’s Bearsville Studio in Woodstock NY. Jim later moved to Nashville, becoming one of the music industry’s leading publishers, as well as a highly respected producer. Jim has produced albums for John Prine, Nanci Griffith, Hal Ketchum, Tom Rush and many others, winning Grammys and accolades along the way.

The Bob & Sarah Amos band has been called a Vermont “super group”, featuring some of New England’s finest acoustic musicians.
